My Windows Clock often freezes, and I resolve it by restarting the file explorer from Task Manager. The issue occurs five times a week. Is there a permanent solution to this problem?

is the taskbar freezing or only the clock?
Right click start, select Terminal (Admin).
If it appears as command prompt, click the drop-down in the title row and select Powershell.
Paste this command into the window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
Press enter.
Then type SFC /scannow and press enter.
Restart PC if SFC fixes any files, since some repairs need a restart to apply.
The first command cleans the files that SFC uses and updates system files.
SFC = System File Checker. The first command runs DISM.

Other suggestions are available on Microsoft Forums.
Edit: brain explosion made me type Control panel instead of Command prompt...

It's not a typical error. Have you checked all the recommendations from the Microsoft forum post you shared? It recommends most of the fixes I would suggest. If you've tried everything and it still works after a repair install, it might be hardware-related. Do you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard?

Yeah, I only tried one but I'm planning to try them all. I'm worried about system restore since I don't want to lose any data. I'm updating the BIOS on the motherboard now via the MSI center. I'll check the rest, but usually everything is updated. This PC I made is pretty new.

only use system restore if you recall a previous time this didn't occur and it happened recently—it can take you too far.
it helps with drivers that corrupt the installation; try other options first.
clean boot could work, possibly another program is involved... it's mentioned on that page.

Do you wonder if it occurs consistently? You might check the task scheduler to identify any recurring activities daily.

Where does Windows obtain its time? Which time server is currently in use?

I'm having trouble with the second question, but I'm trying to figure it out. Sorry about that.
