Right click on the time, select adjust time and date.
What server is displayed under Sync now?
I assume it's time.windows.com.

open win 11 by right clicking start and selecting run...
enter winver when prompted
current version is 24H2
using another version will prevent the repair install option from working, since it requires an ISO matching the installed one, and Microsoft only provides 24H2 at the moment.

Microsoft releases updates in phases, but you should have received it eventually. Alternatively, you can obtain it now:
Visit the link and click the top one – Installation assistant
Download and execute it; it will update your system within 24 hours.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows11
This method usually works as it replaces all Windows files.

No, only windows are affected. Everything else remains unchanged.
It could take some time; some users experienced extended update durations. Most of the work is completed before a restart is required.
The process feels identical to using Windows Update, just skipping the line. I don’t wait for it to suggest it.

I wonder if it fixed it?
The 24H2 latest updates might affect your time zone. This morning my PC thought it was in Dublin, UK, and switched all my currency values to GBP. That would be fine if I were close to the UK. On the other side of the planet.

I can let you know if it happens again, and if it does, I'll attempt all other steps as well. I come from Mac, and it's still unclear to me why Windows 11 23h2 and Windows 11 24H2 are treated as separate versions, especially since the 24H2 wasn't applied automatically.

Windows 11 receives a fresh update each year, incorporating all previous patches. This simplifies reinstallation since you can simply install the newest version and only need around five additional patches to reach the latest state. (Much better than Windows 7, which required roughly 400 patches by its end)

24H2 is a more recent release, and it’s likely you received it via the Windows Update process at some point. The updates are released in phases to ensure the system is prepared before downloading.

I’m just checking if this new version resolves the issue I was wondering about.
