I prefer version 1.0 more. It feels natural how it begins as the default for version 8.

The number of people criticizing the OS due to the clumsy start menu is excessively high. The main issue should be separating the new metro menus and applications from the standard desktop environment. The worst part about Windows 8.1 is that. The start menu can be improved if you don’t want it.

Hey there... I'm a bit confused about this. What exactly are you asking? You seem to think you can adjust how many tiles are displayed, and that's totally customizable. Don't let anyone discourage you. As for me, I'm hoping we can pick between the standard look and the modern UI since both have their pros. It would be a loss if we abandoned the current design, especially since many people enjoy it.
