They might offer you a choice between the new Windows 9 start menu, Windows 8 start menu, or Windows 7 start menu. I’m sticking with the classic start for Windows 8 to balance features right now.

I don’t mind the start menu or the home screen. Both work well without issues, each offering its own pros and cons. My focus is on how the apps function and their programming. Metro-style apps are intriguing but feel too basic, with limited detail and less intuitive design. They’re also interpreted rather than compiled, relying on subsystems that can cause delays where you shouldn’t expect them.

I enjoyed the Win8 layout but it has room for improvement. The connection between the app and the metro interface isn’t great, and the file viewing feels outdated compared to what users expect. I hope the next version blends features from both versions and delivers a seamless experience.
