I operate with 1.6GB/7.4GB DDR3 2DIMM on my 8.1-64 system. I rely solely on Windows Defender. AVG Tuneup Utilities are used. Performance is lightning on SSD.

I tried the program you recommended, and it just reinforced what I already understood. My non-paged pool is consuming 3GB of RAM, while the active pool uses around 100MB. I don’t recognize either one or how to resolve the issue. Any assistance would be really helpful!

I haven't encountered these issues with Windows 7 or the Windows 10 preview. This is my first experience with 8.1. Some are claiming it's a design meant to make better use of available memory for quicker performance. If that's true, it shouldn't hinder my system's speed.
