It took me two days to understand the issue. I realized why I kept installing Windows 8.1 and that the last step was installing the GPU driver, which somehow caused problems with my system. I’m using Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and downloaded the right installer, but it still doesn’t work. Any advice or tips would be really helpful!

You might want to switch to Windows 10. It’s possible the drivers you’re trying to install are meant for a different Windows version. Just a guess... https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...s-products Windows 8.1 is part of the same lifecycle plan as Windows 8, and won’t receive Mainstream Support until January 9, 2018, and Extended Support until January 10, 2023.

I've saved the proper setup file. I've applied it 5 out of 6 times, and I'm almost certain I got the correct release. I actually reduced the Windows version from 10 to make it easier to adjust refresh rates while using a second monitor.

You downgraded by considering possible remnants from the previous version that might be affecting your 8.1 setup. You wondered if leftover files from Win10 were causing issues.

Created a bootable USB, started it and then set up the partition for Windows 8.1, without saving any files from Windows 10.

Okey doke, that takes care of that idea. When you get the BSOD, do you get an error code?

Which card do you possess? The latest drivers are officially compatible only with Windows 7 and 10.
