Win10 isn't inherently bad, but it requires some time and online resources to set up correctly. I was worried about the switch, especially since my new setup uses a m.2 NVMe SSD as the main drive, making a transition to Win7 difficult. After watching a few setup guides, the process felt smooth and straightforward.

I own a complete collection of Windows versions starting from XP that I can boot onto my primary desktop. Yet, the XP setup poses some challenges, particularly with internet access. My preferred daily operating system across all devices (except Apple) remains Windows 10. For everyday tasks, I wouldn’t suggest any alternative as a regular OS.

That's exactly when Microsoft ceases providing security patches.

I believe Windows will stay functional well into 2025. Keep a reliable antivirus active if you're worried about malware or unsafe browsing/downloads. I haven’t updated my Windows 7 system in three years and have never faced any problems. What game requires a Windows XP setup? Just a question. All the security patches for Windows 7 match those for Windows 10. So it seems Windows 7 and Windows 10 offer similar protection levels.
