Windows 7 prevents unauthorized versions from being used.
Hey everyone, there was an issue at my school recently. They started using pirated Windows 7 and automatic updates last week. The next day everything worked fine until they turned it on. Login icons appeared but clicking one caused a spinning pinwheel effect and a brief flash back to the login screen. Mostly seems like the user server had some trouble, though there’s no evidence of a system-wide problem. Everything is running locally on each machine. I’m not involved with their systems—I’m just a student. Honestly, it looks like Microsoft released that update. I’m using a legal Windows 10 version without issues. It seems to be unrelated to hardware. I even tried Ubuntu from my flash drive and it worked perfectly. Curious if anyone else has faced this issue.
We don't encourage illegal downloads and I personally don't engage in piracy, so the answer is NO.
