The unit works well, but I haven't reset the CMOS yet. Updating the BIOS after getting the 5600X means it might affect the CMOS settings. I also tried removing all but one RAM stick and leaving the last one in the second slot as per the manual. How do you actually clear the CMOS? Thank you for your help—it’s really frustrating.

I utilized a screwdriver to establish contact with jbat1 for roughly ten seconds. No changes occurred; I attempted to relocate the GPU to an X8 slot but found nothing altered. It’s unclear whether updating the BIOS myself caused the problem.

The CMOS was cleared following the provided instructions, so the BIOS isn’t affected. Clearing the CMOS doesn’t bring the BIOS back to an earlier release. You might want to test the 1060 on another machine. Also, inspect the CPU pins for any damage.

1060 functions in a different environment; I disconnected the drives to test connectivity, but it didn’t work. I just reviewed the pins and confirmed they’re intact. It’s strange since the VGA indicator stays lit even without any drives connected.

Great update! The new BIOS files for Windows 11 have been installed and the system has restarted smoothly.

However, my hard drive vanished, so...it's time to look into it, hehe.

The Tomahawk B450 doesn’t have a BIOS flashback feature. The M.2 slot blocks two SATA ports. Are you connecting your SSD to SATA 5 or 6?

I don’t have an M.2 drive; I misread my specs—it’s a B 550, sorry. I was using SATA 1-3.

It appears only your SSD is being recognized by the system, while the HDD remains unseen in the BIOS. When you launch Disk Manager, it lists it as disk 2, marked as unallocated and uninitialized. If you attempt to initialize it, you receive a warning that the drive isn't present. Testing it on another SATA port didn’t resolve the problem. It might be corrupted, and I’m unsure if data recovery is feasible.
