Windows 11 runs slower than Windows 10
I can't tell. It has never felt any different to me. I know as the first day it started that I went looking online for differences and there wasn't anything solid. Had to stage I forgot I was on 11, I spend way too much time in start menu to notice its different.
My computer might still be acting weird on Windows 11, but I hope the new updates will solve the problem. Thanks to everyone for their help!
I reinstalled windows yesterday and everything worked fine until now. I put malwarebytes on my computer, ran a check, and it found 1 virus but deleted it. Now the system feels slower again... what is happening? ((( It looks like this happens even if i do a full scan or an offline scan with windows defender. ))) Same thing happened with avast
I agree besides re finding where Microsoft moved somethings 10 and 11 just seem like same thing. I do one thing the helps keep me sane with running mutable PC's. My son took the basic windows 10 desktop picture and added some artwork to it and saved. That one picture I put into the Windows ---Web ---Wallpaper----Windows That desktop picture is on all my windows 10/11 computers. So it does a few things for me. It keeps sanity being familiar PC to PC. I don't fool myself when I click on my fasted newest parts PC that all other of my computers are slower. You forget about parts and what CPU/ GPU your using. Sure I have my pride and Joy gaming rigs but all our computer will game and it's an eye opener to change Computer on the KVM with some exact game up and running and play exact same area and even the old a-- CPU/ GPU can and does a great job playing. I find the easiest way to get used Windows 11 to at least myself was to throw that windows 10 desktop pic onto my Windows 11 computers. It feels more like someone moved the couch vs you moved into a whole new house.
It feels like buying a brand new car where the cup holders got swapped out.
Most of this complaining sounds just like people who are reluctantly switching from Windows 7 to 10. The pattern keeps going. You'll likely be stuck there soon unless moving to Linux is on your agenda. Not so much.
The Linux group hopes that someday regular Windows users will decide to go back to learning from scratch instead of just taking whatever new update comes and using skills they learned after years on that same computer system. Sometimes people have been on it for thirty-plus years, which is a long time! I change my desktop wallpaper all the time, so the only way I can remember how Windows 10 looks is by opening up a virtual machine.
