on my 4790k system i installed 25h2 using rufus and added shutup10, explorer patcher and windows aero to customize it. i’m puzzled by the time issues—it used to happen while loading into windows but now only during reboots. i’ve looked up online and found possible reasons like a bad CMOS, though windows 10 seems stable as a tri boot system. my other two computers with 25h2 don’t have this problem, and i didn’t encounter it before switching from 23h2. recently i searched for solutions but haven’t found a clear fix. if i click “sync now” in settings, it syncs correctly, but the next reboot messes up the time—only the hour is affected, not the minutes.

certain operating systems (likely Linux) handle BIOS timing in relation to your set timezone. it seems the issue might be with how your Windows 11 installation synchronizes on startup.

Only the timing matters—check if everything aligns with the right timezone. Ensure daylight saving adjustments are accounted for.

Do you have NTP set up and connected to a working server? A valid option includes: time.nist.gov pool.ntp.org, time.windows.com, time.aws.com, time.apple.com, time.nrc.ca, time.google.com, time.cloudflare.com, or tick.usno.navy.mil.

It appears the timing issue stems from different operating systems using local versus UTC time settings. Windows typically uses local time, while Linux defaults to UTC.

It's 7, 10, and 11. Not using Linux. Apologies for the unclear message earlier.

The system is correctly configured in the timezone. It isn't just a one-hour discrepancy; what I intended was that the hour part is the only component causing issues. The time can drift by several hours, but the minutes remain accurate.

It was adjusted well. I modified it only for testing, and it didn’t affect the outcome.

Linux adjusts the system clock to UTC, whereas Windows keeps it based on local time. You can configure Windows to follow UTC using its registry settings.

I checked the BIOS settings and found they were wrong. I fixed them, but now all three operating systems display the incorrect time at startup. After syncing to the right time, booting into another OS still shows the same wrong time before syncing again. It keeps happening. What could possibly be causing this?
