Microsoft has been cutting jobs recently. It’s good to hear fewer employees mean Windows 10 won’t change much. I enjoy the Surface Tablets but find the desktop feel odd on a tablet. Would you believe they plan to merge Windows 10 with their Surface tablets?
I need a Windows 8 style experience for tablets and phones, plus a Windows 7 feel for desktops. You should be able to change between them easily with a software or hardware switch. For instance, on the surface or similar devices, include a button that toggles the mode or a sensor that activates when the keyboard is connected.
