I don’t face any issues with Windows 8.1, particularly when Start8 is installed; the system works great for me. If Windows 10 feels similar, I’ll be happy. I’m eager to install the preview on my main machine once I get the motherboard after New Year’s Eve.

Someone familiar with Windows 8 faces challenges and is unwilling to upgrade to another OS, especially after investing heavily in the device.

Similar to the main startup area. The virtual desktops are appealing (use them often on Linux), and the appearance is nice. What bothers me is keeping settings and metro apps for desktop programs and the control panel. Performance isn't ideal—it slows down when launching apps from the start menu, searching, etc. I also see high CPU and RAM usage while idle.

They have the opportunity to enhance their performance. I’m on the same side about the Metro plan. I’d like them to revert to Aero instead.

Sorry, I wasn't familiar with this forum. I just joined last week. It would be great. How do you feel about Windows considering user input more? Over Microsoft's history they've often made it hard to share feedback. I understand. I'll keep doing that from now on. I'm going to start using it right away.
