A Windows 8 driver is available. The 8.1 version isn't. I might try it, but I'm uncertain about the outcome...
Not available in the USA, and as I mentioned I don’t use Cortana, but it remains somewhat functional since I search for information, which might be part of Cortana. Edit: Can a clean installation be performed after an upgrade? I’m not sure about the activation steps.
as long as you enable it once and you can reinstall whenever needed, it will turn on automatically unless you alter the motherboard.
