Hi, I received a forced update on Windows 10. It first caused my computer to display a blue screen three times, leading me to perform a fresh installation from a USB drive. The setup is now stuck at the Windows 10 logo with "klargjør" meaning "readying" or similar. I've repeatedly tried the fresh install about seven times, but it still won't complete. I've also tried disconnecting the Ethernet cable without success. Thank you Microsoft for pushing this update that damaged my Windows 10 installation. I'm unsure what to do next.

Return to Windows 7. If not, move to Ubuntu. Is the hard drive indicator lighting up on your computer? During the setup phase, does the light show any activity?

Launch the command prompt via shift + f10. Execute rundll32.exe pnpclean.dll with RunDLL_PnpClean using /DRIVERS and /MAXCLEAN options.

What’s stopping you from setting up Windows 7? If the disk indicator is working, wait until it stops flashing. It could be a faulty drive, and Windows 10 might be struggling to fix it, which is causing delays.

Currently, I can only work with the device you're using for installation.

Forgive me, but I don't see what your reply has to do with my question? Are you saying you have no access to another system, and therefore can't download an ISO of Win7? Or are you saying you can't wait until Win10 finishes doing whatever its doing?

Have you considered giving Windows 10 some time to complete its tasks?

Check the latest bios and try installing again. This might work if you haven’t done it before. The file is small enough to download from your phone and use on the laptop if it supports it, especially with extra storage added. You could even run Windows 7 this way.
