Make sure to verify everything first. Also, I haven’t noticed any sluggish performance on any of the around 16 PCs I’ve set up so far, but I always perform a fresh installation after the upgrade.

I experienced the black screen issue on the initial day, restarted it, and it didn’t come back. So far, it hasn’t happened again.

I believe a deliberate submersion serves better as a sacrifice. It burns more intensely for cleansing or eliminating something. For this purpose, a river burial would feel more fitting. Still, a thorough burn beforehand might have helped banish the spirits from Windows 8.

8.1 isn't a brand-new operating system, it's merely a service update. It doesn't really stand out as impressive. It only improved the experience for tablet users.
