Windows 10 with GPT will likely make upgrading more complex. Current previews don’t provide a straightforward method to switch drives without erasing everything. While there are workarounds, Microsoft’s approach remains unclear.

I haven't tried it, but it would be much better. It offers extra safety and supports larger storage options. I'm not sure if the person asking is correct.

Windows 10 isn't employing GPT at all. My current usage confirms it remains MBR-based. The only relevant point I've found is that "Windows 10 can't be installed from a USB drive using GPT."

The installer refuses to allow installation on MBR. It seems this might be a limited preview feature. I concur with @EarthboundHero—GPT performs better.
