i was just having my pc fixed remotely, and i asked if i could get windows 10 for free with windows 7 since that’s what most sources say. he kept saying only windows 8.1 users could. is this accurate? it was a representative from windows, as it was listed on the official site, and i had to log in beforehand.

You must complete the upgrade within a year, and once finished it becomes permanent forever.
