What amount are you talking about? OEM costs $99 USD while Non-OEM is $199 (OEM means one-time purchase, Non-OEM involves multiple purchases up to five units). Buying Windows outside the MSRP without authorization is considered a gray market transaction and carries risk.

Regarding spying, it’s considered unreliable. Ultimately, the decision depends on your comfort level and judgment. Purchasing from grey markets isn’t always wise advice.

Initially Microsoft might not be monitoring you, but the information they aim to gather is quite extensive and they don’t need to collect it from you. Grey market buying is questionable, but it’s not a big deal. Alternatively, consult your local IT professionals—they might have a code you can use at a lower cost, though it’s not guaranteed.

Windows 7 still works fine, so don't try to fix it.

It isn't compatible with the latest processors. Security updates are planned for early 2020, which is coming up soon.

This phrase refers to a different meaning than simply indicating incompatibility.

Not supported means nothing changes. Sorry to tell you, I’d never choose an unsupported OS. It’s a tough situation everywhere. Plus, there are no drivers from Microsoft, who knows what the manufacturer will offer? And Windows 7 doesn’t take advantage of the latest processors. So you’re likely paying $300 for a CPU that won’t even work to its best? That seems like a really poor choice to me.

Some people think differently. You must understand others' views and avoid getting upset. This is just propaganda except for the fact that there won't be security updates.

Sure, I'm downloading the Windows 7 ISO from a questionable site since the official downloads seem unavailable. They're adding more pressure on the situation. While Windows 10 offers many improvements over Windows 7, it's not the only choice available.

The AMD scheduling problem didn't hinder Windows 7, just Windows 10. Expect optimal performance. Additionally, it seems AMD has now released chipset drivers for Windows 7: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/ch...os=Windows 10 - 64. The package includes AMD Chipset Drivers and AMD Ryzen™ Balanced Power Plan support for their Threadripper and X399 chipsets. AMD CPUs are fully compatible with Windows 7, though some power management features may be missing—performance impact appears unlikely unless confirmed. For verified Windows 7 ISOs, you can also check Digital River's mirror: http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net. There are many other reliable sources for clean Windows 7 installers.
