You can run Windows 10 Home and enjoy playing all the games you like. It’s a good choice since it’s lighter on resources.
software constraints are often determined by the developer and aren't solely the software's decision. For commercial reasons, companies aim for widespread adoption, which can mean restricting access to certain tools. This issue becomes more relevant in specific scenarios like team viewer licenses. Regarding hardware, the main differences lie in specialized versions such as 'pro for workstations,' used in environments that aren't typical for home users. These are tailored for professional needs and don't impact standard gaming setups.
"again, nothing that affects your gaming desktop.", are ya shur? wich windows is lighter pro or home?, i want to ahve the best os for gaming cause i have gtx 750 LOL!
They've kept saying the same thing over and over. I find it funny that you imagine games would work on the professional version of the operating system (meant for serious users) but not on the personal version (for everyday users).
I plan to play classic games as well. I'm using 7, switching to 10. Need to convert GBA to VBA and I'm unsure if it works on W10. Also, using EPSXE 1.9.0 and Winds Pro for Pokémon HeartGold.
If you consider yourself a power user and you want access to things like the local group policy editor or RDP, I'd recommend Pro. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Home is probably sufficient for your needs. To the best of my knowledge, there is no impact on gaming performance between editions.
