Windows 10 Insider preview removes software without user input.
I just set up the newest Windows 10 version (Insider preview). After restarting and finishing the installation, I got a message saying Windows removed CPUID and then took me to a web page. That’s strange. The app functions properly now, but if it doesn’t, fixing it seems like my responsibility. Plus, the update also wiped all my app settings. Did anyone else run into this problem? The site redirected to: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...atible-app
Unfortunately, I don't think so. It seems the original pop-up wasn't captured, but it's evident from Windows 10 that the app 'CPUID' was removed because of compatibility problems. The alert showed up at the bottom right and said the app had been uninstalled. Clicking it led to the page mentioned earlier.
