We may get it in the spring with one of the updates, but no confirmation on that... According to Microsoft, it may get you a "few" extra FPS, nothing earth shattering. Will most likely be more useful for lower end systems than higher end.

in the case of bloated systems, a simple reinstall would help more, no? from what news articles are saying, it's only a 2-3% increase, for now. who knows, the future might boost it a bit more. i'm looking forward to it on my lower end tablet with an atom cpu and 2GB ram
Someone mentioned that a tech enthusiast would handle the reinstall, which brings back memories of needing to reinstall Windows on my sister's laptop because it became very slow from the OEM bloatware.
I didn’t go into the official "Game Mode," just turned off several features to check what might happen. Overall, I’m not expecting big gains. Stopping background processes that use minimal CPU won’t noticeably boost performance. If those processes used only a small fraction of CPU, improvements would likely be limited to around 1%.
