Windows 10 experiences issues with app crashes due to GPU usage.
Hi, I have an ASUS ROG laptop with a GTX 1050 and Windows 10. The GPU apps keep crashing whenever I try to open them. Games in my Steam library become unresponsive, and even basic tasks like capturing screens or opening browsers stop working. The NVIDIA control panel crashes when I click "adjust settings with preview." It seems the problem might be with the GPU drivers. Let me know if you need guidance. Cheers.
Check if you have the newest NVIDIA driver installed. Consider removing the current driver and setting up the most recent one before turning off and back on your system.
After fully removing the driver, the system functioned properly with Intel integrated graphics. However, when the drivers were reinstalled, performance ceased once again.
Tools that leverage the GPU include OBS, XSplit, certain Steam titles, NVIDIA control panel, and similar applications.
Consider updating to newer versions. It could be a problem with the latest drivers.
