You can prevent Cortana from relying on Bing during searches by adjusting your settings, but you won’t be able to use Google directly. Check Cortana’s preferences or settings to limit its search engine usage.

They don't allow it. Microsoft pushes you to use Cortana alongside Bing. But honestly, Bing works really well.

It depends on how you define "force." If you mean the Cortana had to be actively used, then yes, it likely prompted searches. Otherwise, it might just be a Chrome extension enhancing your experience without requiring direct interaction.

I don't mind at all. Bing works perfectly for my needs. It may not suit him, but that's not my concern.

Bing seems really poor, I don't understand why. Google has been great, but after spending billions on development, Bing still struggles if I make a typo or search for something unpopular. Just try Chromatica, it works better.

Microsoft is clearly promoting its offerings within its own OS, so chill out and turn off Cortana if you don’t like it. You can’t really grumble about it. Good luck!

She would turn it off because it doesn't work well; Cortana isn't helping.
