Windows 10: Can't reach shared directories on the network
Instead of displaying the folder or files, it requests your credentials to connect. That’s not what you’re aiming for. Also, since you’ve set the folder to public with full access, permissions shouldn’t be a concern.
What is the precise title of that user category, "anonymous"? Windows doesn’t seem to identify it clearly...
Under security, as Anonymous login you possess sharing rights, and access rights.
It doesn't appear to be detected. Please verify the name or provide additional details.
It's strange, the fix held but the problem persists. The folder remains inaccessible even after granting anonymous login rights.
Everyone, please have full access. Security permissions should be completely anonymous.
ok.. then you make it read.. and read security rights.. oh and make an access rule in your firewall or turn it off totaly. turn it off as a test.. first.. then enable and make the rule. (my FW is on now, but when i do shares, i have often turned off the FW completly. as you have a firewall in your router... ) if you add $ at the end of the name you make it a hidden share.
