You want a folder that supports both reading and writing, and you've already disabled the default naming rules.

Well, the lowest setting is always applied there. If you need to read and write, make sure it’s included in both sharing and security settings. For anonymous logins with read/write access, you should be able to use it without a password. I don’t have two PCs or VMware Workstation installed... so it’s tough to test right now. Unless they updated it in Windows 11... unless my last use was on Windows 10.

I've already followed all your instructions, attempted full access with read/write and basic permissions, but nothing is functioning. Uncertain if updates affected this in Windows 11, though I mentioned I'm using Windows 10 Pro specifically.

I don’t understand how it works, but now it functions. A fresh issue has appeared—it requests my credentials to reach the shared folders. Despite using anonymous login, it claims access without further conditions.

Restarting again... Mapping the drive will require using \\computername\sharename. You may need to specify \\FQDNcomputername\sharename. FQDN is pcname.domainname.com. Windows performance can vary, so restarting or waiting a few minutes might help.
