I'm a bit traditional, need to search for it and look in the optical devices section to confirm the driver is correctly installed.

This seems to be related to a Driver problem. I would first check the motherboard, optical drive, or the prebuilt manufacturer for any Windows 11 driver available. Here are some helpful tips (not limited to Dell, unless that's the case):

You can avoid editing the registry if you prefer, since mistakes could affect your OS installation.
