Upgrading for a full year seems unlikely. If people could afford it, they’d probably switch to cheaper versions first and then upgrade later. Windows 10 wouldn’t be stable if that were the case, so the reasoning behind it is unclear.

They didn’t check the comment. I totally understand the person’s point—someone bought Windows 10 for around 110, but you could have gotten Windows 7 for about 80-90 and then upgraded to 10 later.

I needed to switch back to Windows 7 today and then upgrade to Windows 10 since a Windows 7 activation code won’t work for Windows 10. With a new motherboard, my Windows was deactivated.

Certainly, but if you're not keen on it, purchasing a ready-made PC with Windows 10 is an option.
