Well, yeah. Obviously, tastes vary and I wouldn't expect everyone in the whole world to care for W3, like e.g. my boyfriend doesn't really seem interested, but none of OP's comments had any substance to them -- all I see are extreme simplifications and conjecture. Personally, I enjoyed the heck out of the game and I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming TV-show, too.

Absolutely, I agree. I really enjoy the game and think it's likely one of the top story-driven games out there. It has the ability to stir emotions, which is exactly what you're after. I'm curious about how the TV adaptation will turn out. It won't be directly tied to the game, but since there are books involved, it should still be engaging.

I tried it too. The first two Witchers were really bad (Witcher 1 is one of the worst games I've ever played). The fights aren't exciting, just a bunch of dodging. How can you make Subnautica and Deus Ex 1 easier? What's wrong with Skyrim?

I personally don't like the casting, particularly the actor who played Superman; he doesn't quite match Geralt's vibe. He's not as fit for the role as Geralt is in-game, and he's not nearly as appealing. I wish they had chosen someone less well-known. What I've read about the people behind the script seems promising, and I'm mature enough to overlook the casting issues—unless it bothers me, then it becomes a real problem.

Skyrim can be simplified in the same manner as Witcher—just keep going, defeating enemies, boosting your strength until you can take down the main antagonist. Doesn't seem very exciting when put that way, does it? Such extreme simplifications are misleading and can make you appear foolish.

IDK, haven't played those games so I can't say.
Skyrim is an excellent game but it's totally different experience than Witcher. It's a sandbox, it's plot is very simple, interactions with NPC are shallow, many quests are mediocre at best. 90% of the fun you get from the game is being able to create your own character and explore the world. In W3 you will always be this particular Geralt but in return, the quests on average are at least one level above Skyrim.
Complaining about Witcher 3 is fine, it can't be the right fit for everyone. Complaining about Witcher's NPC and quests while praising Skyrim on the other hand is something else entirely.

I didn't compliment Skyrim and I expressed my concerns about Witcher 3 not living up to the expectations people share ("attention to detail" – you notice the same NPCs in most quests). Except Skyrim lacked a story (at least a good one) and it still felt better (to me) compared to the "exceptional" narrative in Witcher 3, which mostly revolves around chasing someone and doing dull tasks. That doesn't seem like a game that gets much excitement from fans.

Looking for a girl. At place A, she's missing. At place B, she's also absent. Should I keep going?

Someone might wonder why it matters if you enjoy or dislike a game. It reflects your preferences and can influence how you engage with others who share similar tastes.

I'll give you a hint: those are all your opinions and they don't matter. Most gamers clearly find the quests engaging and the story compelling. Also, ignoring the nuances in the game makes you seem like a moron, so I won't waste any more time on this after this reply.
