Why is Witcher 3 so overrated?
I entered this game without any prior knowledge except that it was Game Of The Year and had a perfect 10/10 rating on Steam. I wasn’t aware of its strong following or the excitement surrounding it. I didn’t play it at launch, not knowing when. At first, I hated it completely and uninstalled the game because I wasn’t interested—it seemed to be just a tutorial area.
Later, around 2017, I played it again and decided to give it another shot. The experience was overwhelmingly positive; it became my top favorite game after finishing it. Although I generally dislike side quests due to their lack of purpose and repetition, I found the side quests in Witcher 3 engaging enough to complete them.
Perhaps this game isn’t for everyone, but it’s clear that it receives so much praise.
Did I? You messed up a game that others enjoyed and sold millions, without anyone really complaining about it being bad. And other creators get inspired by it. Plus, it's not just a Bethesda title that modders need to patch to make it work.
