Why is Witcher 3 so overrated?
Why is Witcher 3 so overrated?
It’s hard not to see the excitement around this title, as it seems to claim being the greatest ever. Everyone emphasizes the attention to detail, yet the game features very few NPCs that are recycled across most quests. Each mission just involves routine tasks—something I remember wasn’t a problem in TES Skyrim either. I have a guess that all this buzz might have been generated by automated systems meant to promote the game. Anyone else share this opinion?
I really loved this game. Preferences vary, and many appreciated its release, even though it doesn't guarantee everyone will enjoy it.
The game offers an excellent experience with a captivating narrative. Each quest fits well with the role of a Witcher, focusing more on completing tasks than advancing the story or gameplay. They essentially act as mercenaries hired to visit villages, take assignments, and earn money while battling monsters.
Fascinating, I've heard the opposite a few times. I can't say the story is excellent since it's just running after someone without any real progress. It's like Mario: go to place A, she's not there, go to place B, she's not there, and so on.
Also you head to place A, she's missing, but you assist someone who is, then you move to place B, become entangled in the underworld, and participate in a murder of a king.
If you want to go all in with comparisons, you can pick any game and it will end up being such a basic overview. Any game.
The point you made about Skyrim seems to undermine your argument completely.
The only issue I see in Witcher 3 is those tiny side quests where you find a map on a body and search for hidden items. Too many of them and they clutter the game world. I’ve heard there’s a great mod that fixes this, but it just gives you more gold for contracts instead.
not that exaggerated, yet from his remarks it seems he hasn't really played the game himself to form a genuine view.
