Hello everyone. I noticed something unusual after the latest Elden Ring update—my PC is using about 22.6GB of its 31.9GB RAM while idle. Even when closing Chrome, it drops only a tiny bit. Strange because neither Task Manager nor Resource Monitor shows that amount. Adding up all the processes seems to use far less memory. Anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this or how to track which programs are consuming those resources?

I attempted to click the link you provided, but it became very difficult to follow and understand. Some parts were unclear and didn’t make sense. Here’s a screenshot of Resource Monitor (the usage there isn’t that high, though it still goes back and forth often, which is about 12 gigabytes in standby mode).

Yes it is but should It really use that much? Here I have a even more extreme example that is going on rn. I haven't done anything but open chrome discord and steam here. It using 28GB of RAM pretty much idly can't be right.
