Hey everyone, with all the recent updates Titanfall has received I’ve been eager to revisit it. But honestly, the performance isn’t great. The frame rate is stuck at 60 FPS, which doesn’t make sense. Apart from that, I usually manage to play on high or medium settings, but even then the game stutters and drops frames constantly. This is the only game I’ve experienced like this. Setting texture resolutions to Low lets me run on high, but everything looks blurry. With my 2GB GTX 660 I should be able to use medium textures, yet it still doesn’t work well. I have the newest drivers installed. My CPU is a 3570K overclocked to 4.0Ghz. EDIT: The GPU usage fluctuates dramatically whenever the game freezes briefly.

It's a source engine I used to work with... It performed quite well.

Could you confirm if your drivers are current?

That's unusual, the game doesn't limit itself to 60 frames per second for me.

It's limited to 60 frames per second because developers didn't understand coding. They started with a 60 fps limit and released quickly, promising an update. They made changes but it caused issues like breaking their beginner auto aim pistol. They reintroduced the 60 fps cap later. One reason I didn't purchase the game after testing beta was this instability.

The game keeps stuttering even when adjusting settings. Disabling SLI didn't improve performance.

I tried the beta version, which performed okay. During the two days of the origin game, this was my usual experience. A 770 should easily handle this, particularly if you skip the AA. However, some maps kept stuttering and freezing. I had to adjust settings to medium or low levels to get certain maps to work. Of course, the game shouldn’t be that hard to run since it looks so rough, so it probably isn’t well optimized and there’s little you can do about it.
