Hey everyone. After grabbing a copy of Advanced Warfare, I thought it might actually work for Call of Duty on PC. But the results were disappointing. Let's clarify a few points first: my system specs are pretty standard—AMD Athlon II X4 640 (boosted to 3.50GHz), 8GB RAM split into two 2GB and one 4GB units, Nvidia GTX460, 1TB HDD, Hitachi 5600RPM with 8MB cache. Now, running a Call of Duty game shouldn't be that hard, right? Well, it did work fine overall. The game loaded smoothly at 40–60 FPS on 1680x1050 resolution with normal settings. However, when I tried higher resolutions or more demanding scenes, my CPU would get overwhelmed, causing stutters and cutscenes to lag. Some might say my old CPU isn’t up to the task, but it actually handled other titles like Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 without issues. The GPU usage was minimal—around 50–80%—and I noticed a problem with texture quality; they seemed low-quality, almost like PS2 standards. I wasn't expecting DirectX 11, just thinking it would be a modern game. It seems Activision might have made PC gaming less appealing compared to consoles. I won’t buy another Call of Duty again; I’ll stick with Black Ops 2 for now. Any thoughts? If you own the game, how did it perform on your rig? See you all soon—hope your gaming stays fun! P.S. Don’t worry about the fans who want to argue; their posts can be removed without notice. Let’s keep things clean.

You can't remove my comment. Just because someone wants to discuss [debate] with you doesn't mean they're a fan. Your PC is more than four years old and performed poorly back then.

Correction Sledgehammer isn't from Activision. I don’t have much to add—just play games with zombies and the MW series, and the rest is a mess. We also need a rant section, lol.

Are you trying to provoke a reaction? Your system is just four years old and average at best. Even the latest CoD was better back then. Check out the CoD from four years ago, you should be able to beat it.

I drive a 770 and experienced lag caused by their servers being slow. I didn’t have time to test it, but it doesn’t matter.

Even if your setup isn't great, it can still work.

Call of Duty feels extremely poor when played on PC, though the campaign is decent. Options for customizing missions are limited, and the multiplayer experience is disappointing—Crysis 2 offered similar multiplayer with larger maps and superior visuals.
