I checked the prices on Steam and G2a recently. For example, IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad costs 7.25€ on Steam and 45.99€ on G2a, while GTA V costs 37.40€ on Steam and 39.99€ on G2a. These gaps are significant—often over 50% for certain titles. Your observation makes sense; I’m not sure if you’re catching my point, but the difference is real. You might wonder why Steam charges more than other platforms. Here are the links to the games:
- IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad – http://store.steampowered.com/app/307960/
- GTA V – http://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/
- Grand Theft Auto V – http://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/

Steam functions as an official retail outlet while G2a operates as a network of resellers. Comparing it to platforms like eBay or Craigslist highlights this difference. Many G2A sellers purchase keys during sales or in bulk, especially from regions with cheaper pricing.

Steam is the official platform, so with G2A you're guaranteed a better chance of getting your game.

By paying the additional amount, G2A ensures activation.

Not overpriced. G2A thrives by beating official sellers, making it reasonably affordable compared to expected retail prices. Also, when you purchase a game on G2A that works through Steam, the download speed isn’t covered by G2A—it falls on you. Clue: it’s not G2A.

On Steam, the publisher sets the cost, while on G2A, the seller decides the price (not the publisher).
