I faced some issues with Windows 10 recently. My Ethernet connection became unstable, so I stopped trying to troubleshoot and reinstalled Windows 7. I’m currently at school, but when I get home I’m weighing my options: stick with Windows 10 or try a fresh install of Windows 7. The new version looks modern and offers strong support for DX12, which is attractive. On the other hand, Windows 7 remains straightforward and easier to repair if needed. Which path feels more suitable for you?

I'm fortunate, I've faced no problems.

I was running the newest version of Windows 10 with an insider license. If I revert to an older build, I’ll purchase a key because I’m weary of this beta experience.

I've been using 10 for a while now. It's worked well for me. The latest update messed with the motherboard driver, but I fixed it and everything is fine now.

Suggest staying on version 7. I usually wait for at least one update before moving up, thinking it’ll be fully reliable—just a routine for me. Right now I’m stuck with this outdated 8.1...

It’s going to push you to make changes, right? So... Widnows 10?

If you're an overclocker, consider using Windows 7 since Windows 10 isn't allowed on HWBot.

I feel like if you are questioning 10, you're better off staying with 7 for the meanwhile. I think 10 will remain free until april so hopefully it becomes more polished by then

I've been using it for nearly a year without issues until now. It might be affected by a virus or Hamachi, but I'm not sure. A fresh installation could solve the problem, though it does require time and effort to set up. Should I consider the cost and effort before deciding?
