Hello, I have these two mobos:
P8H61-MX USB3 Asus
H81M-E33 msi
I need to buy either an i5 3570k or 4670k and overclock it. Which option is better?

The recommended setup is a very strong 4790K OC Base with a base frequency of 4.0GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.4GHz.
You only need to activate Turbo in the BIOS, enable Intel XMP, and you should see the CPU running around 4.5 to 4.6GHZ on the first core, possibly varying slightly based on the motherboard.
What else is required?
If you plan to overclock, ensure you have a superior CPU cooler that fits properly.
Also verify that your memory slots accommodate the heavy cooler.

I'm quite certain you can push the H81M to higher speeds. What are you planning to use your computer for? Are you into gaming or rendering? The 4670k already performs well without overclocking.

I will be using the cpu for gaming, so i need the best performance possible cause im updating from a i5 3470.
I was looking for either 4670k, 4690k or 3570k refurbished or used on ebay, but keeping an eye on the seller feedback. Idk if its a good idea though considering they are K cpus. I didnt want to waste the 3470 thats why i wanted to go for 4th generation but if the 3470 will work on the h81m-e33 this wouldnt be a problem. Im not sure if the P8H61-MX USB3 is good for overclocking though.
My RAM modules are kinda high, im not sure if they would cause trouble with the cooler, would it be safe to remove the plastic thing that makes them taller?. Im talking about 8 gb Vengeance modules
