Whenever the power button is switched off, my computer struggles to maintain USB connections.
It seems to function below, but likely due to the updated electrical setup there. It worked above before the new GPU was installed. I don’t know what the earlier occupants did with the wiring in the walls, so it’s hard to tell if it’s the power supply or the GPU that caused the issue.
My home is quite old as well—constructed in 1930 with the unusual electrical setup of its time. Back then, someone added contemporary wiring in half of the structure...now I rely on it for all my electronics. Hope this helps resolve your issue. You might need a thicker cord going upstairs?
We definitely intend to revise the wiring soon, as it looks quite risky at the moment. It’s a solid approach to keep using it until the issues are resolved!
