I've never seen anything like this before. After setting up my new 5700XT in my 2. PC, the lightswitch in my bathroom and living room causes my PC to lose connection with the sound system. I'm sure it's not the sound system itself. This only happens with that particular PC after installing my GPU. Could it be that my Corsair RM650 PSU is faulty, causing a minor voltage spike? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Test your PC by disconnecting the ground connection temporarily. If it functions properly, there may be an issue with ground loops in your home.
The connection you're using is part of the same circuit as the switches. Would you like to connect your PC to a different circuit?
Thanks in advance! It's interesting to see the effect only becomes clear once the new GPU is installed.
I checked two different outlets so far. The issue is that my home is quite old and we don’t know how electricity was handled back then. Since the first floor has been renovated, we understand its system there. We’ll need to investigate what’s happening on the second floor though!
