I noticed blue screen warnings in Win 8.1 with the message WHEA uncorrectable error. After checking online, it seems linked to CPU overclocking rather than GPU issues. Despite updating BIOS and running stock speeds, the problem persisted during multiplayer sessions. My other games are unaffected. Could GPU overclock be contributing? I’ve already tested the GPU overclock settings briefly and will monitor further. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m using an i7-4790k with Evo 212, getting around 50-60°C in-game, and MSI 970 temps at 60-62°C.

I also received it before. I operate at normal speeds.

Search for error codes online or examine dump files. These often indicate a fragile system, and the specific codes can reveal which component is responsible for the instability.

You're experiencing the same issue on your i7-4790k, especially in Battlefield 4, with a "whea uncorrectable error." It's really annoying and hard to figure out what's causing it.

I experience this sometimes unpredictably, even after successfully running over 8 hours of stress tests on both CPU and GPU. It seems to stem from a software issue rather than a hardware fault.

Do you experience GPU overclocking while gaming? I reduced my GPU overclock slightly, and it appeared to help, though I haven’t played much lately so I’m not certain.

It didn’t work properly and caused the Wi-Fi on the AsRock board to fail. I had to disconnect the PC from the power supply temporarily to prevent further issues.

I also attempted to reduce clock speeds for every core to 4.1GHz using Intel Utility, and it appeared successful.

You noted you own an Asrock motherboard. It seems many components match across your setup. Listing everything might help identify a recurring issue. I suspect it could be related to the Asrock board. Here’s what I found: CPU i7-4790K, Mobo Asrock Z97E-ITX/ac RAM, 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport SSD, 512GB Crucial MX100, Video MSI GTX970, PSU CoolerMaster V550s (550W). All BIOS settings reset to defaults but crashes persist during BF4 playthrough.
