You're experiencing an issue where your DSR 4.00x setup on the Nvidia control panel isn't allowing you to switch game settings to 4K, even though it's working on your desktop. It seems like the problem might be related to how the settings are applied or recognized across devices. You could try checking if the settings are saved locally or if there are any updates for the control panel. If the issue persists, consider consulting the support resources specific to your Nvidia model.

I successfully resolved the issue by setting the scaling to 1.00x through to 4.00x, including enabling all levels instead of just 4.00x. It functions correctly at 4.00x now.

Great that it worked out. It does feel a bit odd at first, but once you get the hang of it, it functions smoothly.

It looks like using a desktop 4K with the game running in fullscreen feels better than 1080p with the game open. It doesn't make much sense, so give it a try.

Skyrim with a 4K mod works well if your hardware is strong. Shadow of Mordor also looks good. Ryse is fine, though it's not about the gameplay. Hmm... anything else? Maybe Far Cry 4 comes out soon? Rolleyes

Consider playing Crysis with ultra-detailed textures. It remains a demanding GPU requirement.
