Finally got my 980 Ti and started using SC, but loading still takes ages on an SSD. Just began exploring my new 325a for an hour before even trying free flight, and then everything broke. Why is there so much lag? It should feel smooth in games like Elite Dangerous or flying jets in BF4, but it doesn’t. Where’s the controller support? I can adjust settings and rebind buttons, but nothing actually works. My PS4 controller still functions in other titles, yet only a few buttons respond in Star Citizen... I’m really confused. I reinstalled the game, reset all keys, and it’s now working perfectly.
It's a bit unstable right now, especially with version 2.0. SC is still having issues. Wait for the official update before making any decisions. Once the bugs are fixed, we'll be clearer.
Hey, I understand you put a lot of effort into this story and it stopped working. I’ll check it again. Don’t worry about it, I’ve got it now. Regarding mouse lag or delay, it seems like the ship might not react quickly to your movements or the reticle won’t move smoothly. For the PS4 controller, I’m not entirely sure it works, but a 360 model should handle it better. As for fixing issues, deleting the USER folder in the SC folder on your drive could often resolve most problems. Give that a shot!
The mouse control circle appears slow or unresponsive. It seems to lag behind actual movement, making it hard to track input accurately. It only works properly with DS4 running, which automatically maps every PS4 button to the Xbox 360 equivalent. Some fixes like adjusting the camera view position helped, but others such as rolling on the right stick didn’t improve. The free-look binding was removed, which resolved the issue, though the game still feels broken overall. Deleting the USER folder restored most controls.
You're experiencing issues where the PS4 controller isn't working properly with SC, even though SC doesn't natively support it. It seems like input lag is the main problem. You've already tested several controllers and settings without success. Could you share a video for better insight?
The ship trailing behind is actually an advantage. With gimbals on your weapons, they’d fire toward the circle. The 325a doesn’t come with them by default (check the manual for details: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/media...1a-V11.pdf). For game performance issues, patch 1.3 is still problematic. A fix exists on the RSI forum that reduces lag and crashes somewhat, though it doesn’t eliminate them entirely. Concerning your controller, I’ll take the blame for using a non-xInput device—remapping buttons worked fine on KB, mouse, or joystick. Remember, most controller inputs are double-mapped with the left trigger as a shift button, which could be a minor mistake. Keep in mind that many fans have experienced this during alpha testing and are prepared to handle it. Most problems can be fixed by removing the user folder, though sometimes deeper steps like reinstalling Windows or redownloading the game are necessary for stability.
