You're weighing your options with a budget of around £30. Consider whether you'd prefer Civ Beyond Earth or Shadow of Mordor, or if upgrading your Dell laptop to a PCSpecialist Cosmos II makes more sense. Think about other games that might fit your interests and budget.

£30 for a new laptop is quite an increase, right? If you're into strategy games, consider getting the latest CIv.

Some players are criticizing the latest update, yet those who enjoy tactics might want to explore the Endless Legend instead.

Shadow of Mander is an excellent mix of action and stealth, blending Assassin's Creed movement mechanics with Batman Arkham combat. It's enjoyable, though it stays true to its own style rather than overshadowing either series. Civ Beyond Earth remains a solid strategy title, similar to Civ 5, but I appreciate the game unless you're a fan of the franchise—it could feel a bit underwhelming compared to a more affordable full version. And... how do you manage a laptop upgrade for just £30? That’s quite interesting!

Shadow of Mordor is an amazing game, but Civ is just as solid. Pick whichever suits you—either way you won’t regret it! P.S.: What laptop upgrade are you planning with £30? I’m curious, but let’s keep it light.

I don't like the new CiV much, but it's more about my own preferences. The game feels similar to what you'd expect from the CiV series, except for the setting. What surprised me was Totalbiscuit – I really enjoy Shadow of Mordor. It's a solid title and one of the few AAA games I haven't complained about lately. With 23 hours of playtime ahead, I'm diving into stealth gameplay thoroughly. TotalBiscuit is straightforward and effective.

I adore infinite myths, believing it's significantly more enjoyable than Beyond Earth.

You might want to hold off a few weeks for the Steam holiday sale. It would also let you decide which option suits you better or if you prefer to wait and save. EDIT: I didn’t check the original post date, so it seems this issue should be resolved now.
