It's interesting it's free-to-play. I'll definitely look it again. It feels like it's been around for about eight years now.

The initial construction began in August 2007. Since then, it has undergone many changes, and I don’t use it much anymore.

I didn't really enjoy many MMOs until I discovered the original GW2 later in its life. I started playing it before release and have been happy so far. It's not a bad game. Try it!

Never had a great MMORPG before. With faster VR advances in ten years, maybe something decent will appear. Edit: Everyone’s the same. You’ll likely dislike any that aren’t your taste.

I own both ff 14 arr and wow. I think ff 14 feels a bit too focused on the wow factor with far less content. Also, ff 14 is divided into zones, so it doesn’t quite feel like an open world game like wow does. My first mmo was ff 14 arr, but after trying wow with the trial, I couldn’t resist buying it—it’s really much better.

The only MMORPG I can truly suggest is The Secret World. It offers rich storylines similar to Runescape, with immersive writing and directional work that few solo developers can replicate. Its dungeons and group activities are among the best in the genre. (Raid experiences are decent but not as engaging as five-person sessions.) PvP performance is average, and building a satisfying character build requires around 20 hours of effort to grasp the skill system fully. Performance may be challenging on older hardware—recommendations are for GTX 460/550 Ti/650. The game has a mature vibe, and its investigation quests can challenge even casual players, resulting in a smaller but passionate community compared to titles like Guild Wars 2. Notably, EA had no involvement beyond handling physical copies in North America at launch; they were simply the distributor.

I've been playing guild wars 2 lately. an expansion just got announced so there's that. it does some things differently than other MMOs. I would like to say it's a more "cooperative" MMO since you share resource nodes with other players (which means even if someone already mined a node, you can still mine on it) and no first hit thing with loot. join the fight and everybody has the same chance of getting something. check out Angry joe's review of it.

Guild Wars 2 is excellent and doesn't require a subscription.
