We perceive surround sound because of how our brains interpret sound. This effect can be recreated using any headphones through software, especially popular ones like Dolby Headphone. I believe experiencing video games in surround mode offers a benefit. For instance, in Far Cry 3, when a tiger was stalking me, I could more effectively locate its position with 6-channel audio (5.1) compared to the 3-channel setup (2.1).

I don’t want mediocre earbuds. I’m looking to purchase professional-grade studio headphones to ensure top-notch performance across every aspect.

Stay away from misleading claims in the audio industry. Avoid things like 24/192 formats, so-called premium oxygen-free cables, or Sony's micro SD cards marketed as delivering "premium sound." If you prioritize durability, proceed but steer clear of fluff and spend wisely.

Have you compared the distinction between Apple earbuds and other headphones, especially those priced at fifty dollars or more? Not every pair is the same.

I didn't notice that. Sound quality is personal and depends on volume—not always better is louder. Also, consider how our ears work over time, which declines with age. Yes, some headphones sound poor, but I don’t mind my affordable Sony ones; they work adequately.

But sound quality is quite personal, volume doesn't always mean better audio. I've never thought louder is superior; it's the dynamic range that truly matters, and mastering professionals dominate that field.

Only a handful of audio professionals truly value maintaining dynamic range. Most music today is heavily compressed, which bothers me when it comes to CDs and vinyl. They often take the wide dynamic range of CDs and reduce it, turning it into something less impressive—a loss that’s disappointing.

I'm using a 7.1 home theater system and it works well. I don't heavily play first-person shooter games, so cinematic quality matters more for me.

They offer better sound quality than the M50X, are more affordable, feel great to wear, and have a comfortable open-back design.
