Previously had 5.1 speakers, switched to 2.1, then used a Roccat Kave 5.1 headset, followed by a Siberia V2 stereo headset. Now I'm watching on a 39" TV with built-in speakers, no headset at all.

Thank you for the recommendation. I’ll consider these headphones. I’ll keep using Audio Techniques for portable listening, but I’ll explore them for PC gaming as well. Appreciate the advice!
