Arch Linux suits my taste for newer software on Linux, but I’m not keen on app containers. I’ve been thinking about switching to KDE Neon. It would feel more like Windows if they really tested updates first and kept things clearer.

Linux offers significantly greater flexibility, while Arch provides even more customization than typical distributions. Unlike Microsoft’s approach with games like Candy Crush, which limits user freedom, these systems empower you to manage your PC fully.

Linux Mint Cinnamon (tested Manjaro and Kali) paired with Windows 7 dualboot works fine for me. Linux for PC and Laptop offers great customization without the hassle of forced updates that damage my SSD or disable features. I personally prefer Windows 10, as it’s the least stable for me. I first tried it in 2015 and still don’t like the frequent CPU/HDD load-ups or automatic installs/uninstalls. This machine isn’t mine anymore, but the interface feels more like a tablet than a full PC.
