Windows kept running smoothly. I bypassed several problematic operating systems—excluding Windows 2000—except for Windows 3.1 through Windows 10.

I owned a laptop that ran Windows 10, took a lunch break, and upon returning it displayed the blue screen of death.

I've been running OpenBSD on various devices—desktops, laptops, servers, and routers/gateways—since around 2010. I won't switch to anything else except for code testing. It's the most user-friendly, simple, and dependable OS I've encountered.

I also experienced BSODs on my new PC during cold starts multiple times this year. It's becoming a habit now.

It's a new thing I've never seen before, but it seems impressive.

ProDOS is for Apple II fans; otherwise, Plasma works well on Debian.

My top choice is Redox Microkernel because it lets drivers run without crashing the OS and adds strong security. The whole system is built in Rust, which ensures memory safety. I see a modern approach with updated filesystem (TFS) and its own package archive (Pkgar). Even though it might not be practical today, it would have been an excellent academic project with innovative concepts. For everyday use, Fedora offers a solid package manager, decent security, and new packages that undergo thorough testing.
