What is this debug beep?
I just installed a 3060ti and previously had an Asus TUF B450m plus II Ryzen 5 3600X setup with Gigabyte, GTX 1070, and other components. I was using Windows 10 at 64-bit. After installing the Aurora 3060ti, it began beeping during startup—first a normal boot sound, then four consecutive beeps. Everything works now, but I’m still curious about the issue. Please find the video attached. Let me know if you need more details! Thanks! 20250104_162152.mp4
On ASUS's support page you can find details about the sound codes from the speaker. The sequence "one long and four short beeps" indicates a CPU Fan Error or related issue. Make sure your CPU and fan are properly installed. If the problem persists, try loading the default BIOS or clearing CMOS. This sound pattern usually means a successful POST followed by quick beeps, with brief pauses between them.
I can operate the PC normally despite the beeping. I reset the CMOS by disconnecting the power source and then briefly connecting the switch for around five seconds, following the instructions in the manual. I also attempted to remove the button battery and the outcome remained consistent. The BIOS displays fan RPM and allows me to adjust the speed.
