I’m having difficulty spotting this app because it continues to run when my screen sleeps. I thought it might be related to Halo Infinity, as I see a spartan helmet with a key in the interface. When I turn off my PC and restart, the screen briefly activates for half a second before disappearing again. After reinstalling Windows and getting everything back up, the issue reappeared. The icon is hard to capture before it closes. Can you help me identify if there’s a way to locate recently running programs so I can determine what’s causing this?

But it vanishes before I can observe the procedure. I've also checked the task scheduler.

You can also check Resource Monitor and Process Explorer (Microsoft – free).
Other useful locations include Reliability History and Event Viewer.
These tools might be recording related error codes, warnings, or events.
Begin with Reliability History – it’s more user-friendly, and the timeline view could help connect to Halo.

Thanks, I managed to find a high resolution image of the icon, though on the form it wasn't clear what it was. It's the one with the simple helmet and the C++ text inside.

You might have obtained Halo Infinity from an infected source. Execute your antivirus program.

Halo infinite? bruh, it's on the Microsoft store through the Xbox app. Especially with Game Pass.
Also, there has been a beta for a long while now.
Also also, the screenshot is from the forum, not their PC last I checked.

I ran Malwarebytes and Windows Defender, but nothing was detected. I also installed a new version of Windows 10 Pro on my computer, yet it kept appearing. I also have PIA; I'm curious if it's related to the issue.

Installing a new Windows version means creating a fresh OS drive and setting it up properly.

If it persists, check the startup menu to identify what launches at boot time. If related to the halo game, navigate to add/remove and select the sort tab, then choose a date to review installations from the same day as when you obtained halo.
